Colonial Expansion

With a growing family in mind, the owners of this home sought additional space, realized through a second-floor addition over the existing garage, including three new bedrooms and a large bathroom while reconfiguring portions of the existing second floor to better meet their needs. The addition is designed to feel carriage house–inspired while remaining consistent with the architectural language of the existing house.

Thoughtful attention to proportion, rooflines, and detailing ensures that the addition blends seamlessly with the original structure, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic presence of the home. The result is a cohesive expansion that supports the family’s needs while maintaining the character and scale of the property.
